We are hiring Website Maintenance Technicians to manage and maintain a portfolio of client websites. You will handle updates, backups, security monitoring, and performance optimisation. A typical day involves logging into our secure portal, reviewing your task queue, and perform regular website updates including core, plugin, and theme updates. From there you will monitor website uptime, performance, and security using monitoring tools. Most work is self-directed: you receive daily or weekly targets and organise your own schedule, as long as quality standards are met. You will use a combination of standard office tools and our proprietary internal systems.

This role is perfect for someone who can working knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and basic PHP and familiarity with web hosting environments, cPanel, and FTP clients. Full training is provided, and we actively promote from within — many of our current team leads started in this exact role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular website updates including core, plugin, and theme updates
  • Monitor website uptime, performance, and security using monitoring tools
  • Perform daily and weekly backups and verify backup integrity
  • Respond to and resolve website issues, errors, and downtime incidents
  • Implement security measures including firewalls, malware scans, and access controls
  • Maintain documentation for all client websites and maintenance procedures
