Remote Medical Coder

About the Role

We are hiring Remote Medical Coders to support our growing portfolio of global clients. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression. This is a fully remote role open to candidates worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes
• Ensure coding compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II guidelines
• Query physicians for clarification when documentation is unclear or incomplete
• Abstract relevant clinical information from medical records for billing and reporting
• Maintain coding productivity and accuracy standards as defined by the organisation
• Stay current with coding updates, guidelines, and regulatory changes

Who You Are

• Active certification (CPC, CCS, or AHIMA-approved credential)
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Proficiency with coding software and EHR systems
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain focus for extended periods
• 1+ years of medical coding experience in a healthcare setting
